Coming Out of the Spiritual Closet
Okay, here goes — I’m coming out of the spiritual closet. ✨
A little something I haven’t really talked about publicly: I quietly use tarot and oracle cards — yes, deck cards — and take a moment to do an energy reading before every coaching session, whether new or ongoing.
It’s a bit like a remote energy scan or viewing. I rely on my intuition and, dare I say, my clair abilities: clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, and claircognizance.
Before I host an Ugly Side of Change conversation or speak publicly, it’s part of my practice to ground, connect, and receive guidance on what I might say or do — not just to support others in their healing, but also to support myself.
For some of you, this won’t come as a surprise. My approach has always leaned into the emotional, energetic, and psychic — the three legs of the stool I stand on.
But I’ll be honest: I went quiet for a long time. Through my high-conflict divorce and the post-divorce abuse, I was forced into silence. Anything I said or did was used against me in court (yes, gag order). The judgment, the threats, the scrutiny — it dimmed my light.
But now? At this age and stage of life, I’m stepping fully into the truth of my practice and my beliefs.
In a world that feels increasingly divided and chaotic, I believe it’s more important than ever to help others connect to the unity of soul — because that’s the way through trauma, healing, and recovery.
I remember once speaking at a fertility clinic. Right before our break, I invited participants to draw from one of my favorite oracle decks, The Goddesses. Each person quietly selected a card and read its message.
A woman, dressed in a sharp dark suit and heels, had arrived late. She didn’t say a word at the time. But after my closing remarks, she sent me an email — full of emotion and an apology.
She’d come straight from court. She was a corporate lawyer, exhausted and questioning whether to move forward with another IVF cycle. Not religious and in despair, she’d prayed the Hail Mary on her drive and begged for a sign.
She pulled the Mother Mary card. The message?
Expect a Miracle.
“Have Faith, Your Prayers Have Been Heard and are Being Answered”
She told me she hadn’t heard a single thing I said — she just sat there, stunned and crying.
I replied, “You didn’t need to hear me — you got exactly what you came for.”
That’s what this is about.
✨ Believe in your divine magic.
✨ Trust your inner and outer connection.
✨ So within, so without.
✨ Love is the way. The Only Way
