The Energy We Carry Into a Room

What is happening in life right now?

I keep feeling pulled into the theme of release and acceptance.

This has always been part of life’s cycles… but lately the call to release, accept, and sometimes simply stop resisting what is — feels stronger than ever.

There is a lot of unhealed energy moving through the world right now.
Unresolved wounds spilling into everyday interactions.

It reminds me how important self-protection and energetic hygiene truly are.

Recently I found myself reflecting on something from my childhood.

My mother was a quiet breaker of glass ceilings — running a large nursing home when my sister and I were growing up. Not because it was her dream, but because life required it.

Her husband struggled with alcoholism, and she carried the responsibility of holding everything together.

But she lived by one simple philosophy:

Leave places better than you found them.

I remember her wiping down sinks in public restrooms. I would scold her — embarrassed — and she would simply say,

“Someone after us will have a tidy place.”

And recently I caught myself doing the very same thing.

It made me smile… and also reflect.

Sometimes the environments we step into don’t understand the energy we carry or the values we live by.

But at this stage of life, I’ve learned something important: I won’t dim who I am simply because others are uncomfortable with it.

And perhaps that is the quiet work of healing — learning to carry our energy with intention wherever we go.
